Large Outdoor Table

A large outdoor table is ideal if you have a good amount of space in your garden or yard. Proper outdoor furniture gives you the opportunity to spend quality time with your family outdoors and also hold some great parties and barbeques. Now outdoor parties are one of the popular ways of socializing and for that you will need a large outdoor table to sit everybody comfortably.

A large outdoor table is available in a variety of materials and you got to choose one which satisfies you in terms of design, durability and cost. The large outdoor table obviously has to be weatherproof and should be able to withstand the elements. The materials used in making large outdoor tables are wood, wicker, aluminum, resin and wrought iron. Each material has its advantages and disadvantages and you will need to choose which suits you the best.

A large outdoor table made from wrought iron will be extremely difficult to move, as it is going to be very heavy. But at the same time wrought iron provides some of the most intricate designs and is also quite long lasting requiring an occasional coat of paint. If portability is an issue then you should drop the idea of having a wrought iron large outdoor table.

There are many different models available in aluminum which is a much lighter metal and very durable. An aluminum large outdoor table can be easily moved around and is easier to maintain, but it does not have much to offer in terms of a rustic look.

A wooden large outdoor table has most of the features you may be looking for. There is the traditional picnic table model in various sizes that can seat many people and has the benches attached and comes as a single unit. Or you can also go for some of the more elegantly crafted ones in teak, cedar or pine. Many of the models also come with a feature where you are able to adjust the surface size and that makes it more versatile as you can save space when you have a smaller gathering.

Teak is a sturdy wood with excellent weatherproof qualities and can be the ideal choice as a material for a large outdoor table. You will need to check the craftsmanship, and the fittings, as a larger sized table will need stronger joints and wider support for the table surface.
